Trust the Process.

The internet is a wondrous place that allows us to engage each other and our interests at the click of a link, but for art lovers and collectors, it can’t replace the experience of seeing a work of art up on a wall just inches away. So for those who have never seen my work up close I figured I would shine a light on how I create.

In general, it's a gritty, timely, labor-intensive and heartfelt process to bring the vision in my head to life with the hope that it will connect with an audience. Each piece consists of a series of layers with a specific technique - base coating, silkscreening, hand cut stenciling, freehand painting and collage work - all of which come together to tell a story.

I work exclusively on wood because of the sturdiness it offers for this process, but it also means my work weighs more than the average art piece. And in many cases, I custom build a minimal style frame that accentuates the overall composition of the piece, making it ready to hang on most walls.
